The Association of Samba Schools in Finland (ASSF) is an umbrella organization uniting all Finnish samba schools, whose purpose is to promote samba in Finland.
Have you always dreamed to participate to the Rio carnival, or have not you even ever seen samba? Or maybe you are already familiar with samba carnival? We invite you and your friends to Helsinki Samba Carnaval, which will be held on 22nd time. The event is one of Helsinki's largest free public events, the audience is expected to arrive like former years of experience 20-30 000 people. The parade will include seven samba schools from different cities of Finland, as well as other performing groups, a total of over 1,000 dancers and musicians.
Brazilian samba colleagues have told that the style of Helsinki Samba Caranaval corresponds to the Rio Carnival, only the scale is smaller. And it is a good thing, because you can see everything very close and free!
On the Friday will be the opening ceremony and the coronation of royals of carnival and Saturday night Baile do Caranaval, they are also part of Helsinki Samba Carnaval. Come and enjoy one of the summer events, Helsinki Samba Carnaval with us!
